The FHS Falcon Soccer Booster Association is a group of interested
and involved parents who care about the program and support the coaches
and administration making the program the best it can be.
Founded in 1984, the Soccer Boosters Association coordinates many
different functions and raises funds to make sure that we maintain high
quality programs.
The Boosters organize:
Other team expenses are underwritten by the Falcon Soccer Booster
Association, including uniforms, tournaments, camps, field maintenance,
balls, nets, goals, and first aid equipment. The Boosters also
supplement the coaches stipends provided by the Akron Public Schools
Board of Education.
We are committed to providing the best possible soccer experience for
our student athletes and we look forward to having you join us.
We hope that you will consider playing in one of the oldest and best
high school soccer programs in Summit County The Firestone High School
Falcon Soccer Team.
The Falcons have fielded varsity teams since 1964 when the boy's team
was begun. We have fielded a girl's team since 1984.
Varsity sports in high school are a fine way to develop the student
athlete into a well-rounded young adult. Soccer offers great competition
and a healthy lifestyle.
Here are some of the features of our program:
- Varsity and Jr. Varsity teams for both boys and girls
- 22 City Championships
- Trained and experienced coaches
- Van or bus transportation to all away games
- Quality uniforms for all players
- High school soccer field with bleachers dedicated to soccer
only use and maintained by the high school and the Soccer Booster
Association
- New lighted scoreboard
- Family picnic and alumni games to kick off every season
- End of season banquet with recognition of players and coaches
The Booster club meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month
at Firestone High School at 7:00pm. During the summer month's the club
meets at somebody's home. Everyone is welcome.
